About the Program
The Griffin Technical College Learning Support Center started its first year, in 2004, under a grant from the Carl Perkins Technical Education Improvement and Innovation Program. The mission of the LSC is to help GTC students break down the barriers to being successful students. This is done through the use of tutors, computer aided instruction, academic counseling.
Taking Advantage of the Learning Support Center
The first step to taking advantage of the Learning Support Center is to talk with your instructor. Your instructor will let you know if tutoring is right for you or whether you may find help in another way. Once you have determined that tutoring is what you need, sign up for a tutor by e-mailing one of the instructors above or coming into LSC and talking with one of the on-duty instructors. It's that simple and that easy.
